The Weight of the Day — Stray Dogs of Nicaragua (Peta Kaplan) — 11oz Ceramic Mug
Your morning, with a street dog on it.
This glossy white ceramic mug carries The Weight of the Day, a painting from Peta Kaplan's Stray Dogs of Nicaragua — a series of original oils of the street dogs she came to know over the five years she and Ben made their home in the colonial city of Granada, Nicaragua.
She didn't only paint them; she cared for them, volunteering at the local clinic and serving on an emergency response team for animals that were hurt or abandoned.
The painting is printed large on the side of the mug, so the dog reads as a painting rather than a logo. Dishwasher and microwave safe, so it holds up to daily use.
Ethically printed on demand, made to last.
We commit 25% of the profit from this item to dog rescue work. The shelter or rescue organisation that will receive it is still to be decided, so that money is earmarked and set aside until it is. Full detail is on our About page.
