Teddy in the Dark — Stray Dogs of Nicaragua (Peta Kaplan) — 11oz Ceramic Mug
Your morning, with a street dog on it.
This glossy white ceramic mug carries Teddy in the Dark, a painting from Peta Kaplan's Stray Dogs of Nicaragua — a series of original oils of the street dogs she came to know over the five years she and Ben made their home in the colonial city of Granada, Nicaragua.
She didn't only paint them; she cared for them, volunteering at the local clinic and serving on an emergency response team for animals that were hurt or abandoned.
The painting is printed large on the side of the mug, so the dog reads as a painting rather than a logo. Dishwasher and microwave safe, so it holds up to daily use.
Ethically printed on demand, made to last.
We commit 25% of the profit from this item to Global Strays, the US nonprofit that funds street animal care across Central America. This is one of five paintings Global Strays chose for the collection. Full detail is on our About page.
