The Long Shadow — Stray Dogs of Nicaragua (Peta Kaplan) — Framed Poster (Premium Matte)
The dog is as pale as the ground it stands on. The shadow is the solid thing.
An original oil painting by Peta Kaplan, from a series painted during the five years she and Ben made their home in the colonial city of Granada, Nicaragua.
The streets were full of strays, and Peta Kaplan didn't only paint them — she cared for them, volunteering at the local clinic and serving on an emergency response team for animals that were wounded or abandoned.
Part of the Green Global Trek collection — Stray Dogs of Nicaragua, painted on location in Granada.
