Silk Road Uzbekistan 2027 Wall Calendar — Photographs by Peta Kaplan
A 2027 wall calendar of twelve photographs from the Silk Road cities of Uzbekistan — Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Tashkent — taken on location by Peta Kaplan.
Each month pairs an image with a short note on the history beneath it: the road that ran four thousand miles to the Mediterranean, the cities Alexander and Genghis Khan both took, the mathematician whose name became the word "algorithm," and the caravanserais where a camel train slept every night for the better part of a year.
A slim vertical format made for the tall tile work, minarets, and portals of Central Asia. Printed full-color on premium coated silk paper, wire-bound and ready to hang. Part of the Green Global Trek collection.
