This roomy cotton tote features a painting from Peta Kaplan's Stray Dogs of Nicaragua — a series of original oils of the street dogs she came to know over the five years she and Ben made their home in the colonial city of Granada, Nicaragua. 


She didn't only paint them; she cared for them, volunteering at the local clinic and serving on an emergency response team for animals that were hurt or abandoned. 


Sturdy enough for groceries, books, or a day at the beach, it's a quiet way to keep these dogs — and their stories — moving through the world.
